The schedule for all days of Saltvik Viking Market 2024!
11:00 – Market area opens.
12:00 – Opening march with vikings, warriors, musicians and other participants from the market area. The merchant stands opens.
12:00 – Restaurants in the Longhouse and Knarren opens. Sagas Raiding Party are available for the children.
13:00 – Holmgers Hird and other viking warriors show viking age fighting. De Fliere Fluiters creates atmosphere with their music during the fight.
14:00 – Zack the Jester entertains.
16:00 – Holmgers Hird and other viking warriors show viking age fighting. De Fliere Fluiters creates atmosphere with their music during the fight.
17:00 – Zack the Jester entertains.
18:00 – Knarren closes. Sagas Raiding Party ends for the day.
19:00 – The food service in the Longhouse closes, the Bar is still open.
00:00 – The Bar in the Longhouse closes. (Saturday the Bar closes at 22:00)
00:00 – Market area closes. (Saturday the market area closes at 22:00)
Kristin Svensson – Fornfela, Rävspel & Kråksång, De Fliere Fluiters and Falska gäss plays contemporary music on the market area and restaurants during the whole day.
Sagas Raiding Party, our popular activity for the children (and the parents), go on during the day. The children will be doing some viking inspired crafts and get to take home what they make. Saga have also hidden a few runes around the market area, find all the runes and solve the rune puzzle to get a prize from the Raiding Chest!
THE EVENT “HILDISVIN” on Friday evening:
Friday the 26th we will arrange a special event called Hildisvin. We will be spit roasting a pig over the open fire in the Longhouse with live music.
18:00 – 20:30 we serve spit roasted pig. Limited amount of portions, so it’s “first come, first served”.
21:00 – 22:30 you can join the vikings and play different Viking Age games.
23:00 there’s a FIRESHOW performed by the Åland-based fire group Yasireld.
ENTRY FEE:
Adults (13 years and older) : 10 €
Children (7 – 12 years) : 5 €
Family (2 adults and 2 children younger than 13 years) : 25 €
Children younger than 7 years has free entry!
